Craniosynostosis - Donating to the Cause

Craniosynostosis is a condition where the bones in a child's skull fuse together early on in a child's development.  Usually in the first year of the child's life.  The condition impairs the learning ability of the child, builds pressure in the child's head, and also causes the child's skull to grow in an abnormal shape.

Surgery to re open the bone sutures is the only way to correct the condition.  The cause and prevention is not known.  My son had this condition back in 2019.  The event, the surgery, everything about it was traumatic and nothing a child should have to go through.

After the surgery was completed, I said to myself that I would donate what ever funding possible to help fight and research this condition.  The reality and honest truth is, its hard to do this when paying a house and supporting a family.   But my resolve was stronger and I did not let everyday life stop me.

So I got creative and I took it upon myself to learn how to program Android Apps.  Why?  Because I want to give back to children and to the children hospital for the wonderful work and care they provided.  The app created is designed to teach children the alphabet and how to spell words at a young age.  It is my way of fighting craniosynostosis, developing the cognitive ability of a child at a young age, and raising money to research and fight the condition. The app is a paid app and all profits generated by it will be donated to the local children's hospital. To see the app or make a donation please visit the following Google Play store link: Spelling Bee Learning Activity

My first target is to reach and donate 500$ to the children's hospital.  I will update this post as we get closer and closer to our goal.

Thankyou
